The steps
We numb the tooth, remove the inflamed nerve tissue, shape and disinfect the canals and seal them with a dedicated material. Most teeth are finished in one or two visits, followed by a permanent filling or crown on top.
With good anaesthesia, a root canal is usually no more uncomfortable than a filling, despite its reputation.
